ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER
Pathways to Hope Africa (PTHA) is working in the Nakivale refugee settlement to increase access to clean water. Currently, the settlement has 18 water taps that serve approximately 120,000 people; a single water tap serves about 6,666 people. Water is being rationed among nine territorial communities within the settlelement.
PTHA is working with members of the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector in the country to develop a comprehensive water response plan. Additionally, the organization is working with Uganda Water and Sanitation NGO Network (UWASNET) to improve the water project implementation process.
