PTHA will ensure accessible and equitable educational opportunities for the children of rural Uganda through the use of mobile bus classroom units. Fully equipped with laptops, teaching units, mounted tv units, and Wi-Fi, the online learning environment will ensure students will have access to interactive learning experiences and instructional supports that best meet their individualized needs. Students can learn physically on the bus or utilize tablets in an assigned location. Not only does the technology bring excitement and curiosity to students, but also provides the opportunity to customize and scaffold learning experiences to achieve academic standards mastery. As we continue to grapple with access to equitable educational supports in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we must be responsive to ensure students are able to connect with the educational opportunities they deserve. In addition, this work will also result in job creation as we build teachers’ capacity and support staff roles to ensure student success.
